We’re backing music and performance organisations in the region working with local bands and artists who could be our future headliners.
We’re pioneering special access passes to people on low incomes and from a disadvantaged background who might otherwise miss out on events.
We’re knocking down barriers to business success, supporting companies and entrepreneurs from across the region with work space options and opportunities to showcase their products and services to a global audience.

We are committed to supporting local charities and initiatives to
volunteering in community projects in and around the NewcastleGateshead area.

The Sage will care for the planet as much as its many audiences and will be built with climate-conscious engineering in mind.
In addition the development will be supplied with heat and power from the Gateshead District Energy Scheme, fed by urban solar parks and naturally heated mine water extracted from ancient mine workings 150 metres below the site – powering the future with the help of the past.
Electric vehicle charging points will be available on site and The Sage’s superb location in the heart of the Gateshead and Newcastle quayside means major transport links are only a short walk away.
The site will have an array of new planting and creatively landscaped green spaces to boost biodiversity and enhance the iconic river views, creating a place where eco and entertainment meet.
